Get complete protection for the underside of your new 2 door JK! Save money by ordering the complete kit, which includes 3-4 separate skid plates: gas tank skid, oil pan skid, transmission skid, and transfer case skid.

The oil pan skid includes an oil drain panel that allows the oil to be changed without removing the skid. For 2007-2011 Jeeps, the oil pan skid bolts to our transmission skid. For 2012+ Jeeps, the oil pan and transmission skid are one piece. Both versions of the oil pan skid bolts to the Jeep's cross member and allows the use of a long arm suspension kit without cutting.

The transfer case skid replaces the factory skid and offers greater protection.

The gas tank skid covers the entire gas tank front to back. Some minor trimming of the factory gas tank skid is required and can be easily done in a few minutes.

Available in bare steel or bare aluminum, black satin finish or textured epoxy finish. Our aluminum skid system weighs approximately 1/2 the weight of our steel skids (62 pounds). Steel weight is 125 pounds.Made from 3/16 Steel or 1/4 Aluminum.

**Additional drilling may be required for mounting to your specific Diesel, Hemi or LS3 conversion kit.

Note: Our aluminum skids, while offering excellent protection, will not stand up to the same level of abuse as our steel skids. Also available with replaceable UHMW Polyethylene skins. UHMW stands for Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene and these 3/16" thick panels are specially designed for sliding over rocks. They can be used with the steel or aluminum skids. We strongly recommend them with our aluminum skids, which are made from 1/4" material. The aluminum skids will protect your system, but they will get scratched if you wheel them hard so the UHMW protects the aluminum and helps them to slide over the rocks instead of getting scratched up!

    I bought these skid plates in steel about a year ago. Installation would have been easier with two sets of hands but a good floor jack and some patience and they go on just fine. The EZ oil drain valve makes oil changes a breeze with no spilled oil whatsoever. Just get some 3/8" ID vinyl tubing from any hardware store and it drains easily right into the pan. The skid plates have seen some serious use in the Colorado mountains and up obstacles like Wipeout Hill in Moab. Lots of scars to show they've paid for themselves and then some. If you're on the fence about getting them, don't hesitate any longer. They are well worth it.

    I have a 14' Wrangler Rubicon X that has been rode hard and gets ridden harder each time I hit the trails. Initially I took the slow journey from stock to creeping in mods as I saw or felt the requirements. I must say that all the lifts, all the gadgets, nothing in my opinion is more critical than SKID PLATES. It is also in my opinion that when choosing SKIDS, the modular set up of River Raider Off Road stands alone in functionality and form. Prior to my install I have dented the cross member and put a football size dent in the factory gas tank skid and gas tank itself. This dent leaves me about 3 gallons less utilization in the tank. I now have the complete JK 2 door system and love it! The piece of mind that it provides when I feel and hear the pounding smacks below me is incredible. Wheeling can be brutal on the undercarriage of your Jeep and there are some very critical parts that just won't take the beating unless they are protected. There is NO BETTER way to protect them other than the Full Set of Skids offered by River Raider Off Road.

    When I ask what was the first thing I should upgrade everyone said SKID PLATES! Made sense so I bought the full steel 2 door JK kit. Install was strait forward (I bought a grinder after the 3rd dremel cutting wheel). I have to say after 4 years of wheeling on them they have held up great lots of scars to testify they were useful and a serious dent on the transmission skid (too much skinny peddle). I must say they are damn good skid plates and have saved my butt many a time. Buy them your JK will thank you.
