Our Complete System Skid Plates offer the ultimate complete protection you'll want and need for the underside of your new JL Wrangler! This complete kit comes with several skid plates: gas tank skid, engine skid, and transfer case skid. Our skids fit nicely together as a complete skid system or can be purchased and installed individually. For smoother oil changes, add-on an EZ Oil Drain valve!
Note: Our aluminum skids, while offering excellent protection, will not stand up to the same level of abuse as our steel skids. Also available with replaceable UHMW Polyethylene skins. UHMW stands for Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene and these 3/16" thick panels are specially designed for sliding over rocks. They can be used with the steel or aluminum skids. We strongly recommend them with our aluminum skids, which are made from 1/4" material. The aluminum skids will protect your system, but they will get scratched if you wheel them hard so the UHMW protects the aluminum and helps them to slide over the rocks instead of getting scratched up!

Just finished the Rubicon with the Jeepers Jamboree. I have a 2011 JK Sahara with the RR complete skid system. I am only lifted 2.5 inches with 33's (its my daily driver) and have side rock rails. My friends said, if you can't go big armor up. The skids saved my bacon so many times it's hard to keep count. My driver rear Rubicon Express rear sway bar link busted Cadillac Hill, but my skids were only grazed. They did not bend or cave. I was asked many times' "how did you do that"? as i slid across rocks. I had to explain just as many times about your great skid and wait while they looked at them. Great job guys! You should rename them the bacon savers.

Summary: Fantastic skid plates, I have the steel skids, they are heavy - but they can really take a beating all plates are still serviceable after a year of Johnson Valley, Coral Canyon, Ocotillo, Big Bear, Murrieta, and so on. You have to watch the mounting hardware after each wheeling trip, and use a customized catch to drain oil through the provided punch out

I looked and reviewed on the web for weeks and finally decided to take a plunge with the full RROR skid system. I did find a few reviews that said they thought this system was weak, so was a bit concerned.. OK now roll forward to last weekend when I took my JK Rubi on the Dusy Ershim trail. 33 Miles of high drama (watch the youtube videos) , my RROR skids took a pounding as did my Ace rock rails.. Neither however bent of buckled although both are seriously grazed :-) Awesome job RROR crew thank you for saving my 2012 Rubi with 35's and 3.5 inch lift from a certain death on the trail.. Colin
